A Month Long Flood Experience

      The flood has been in Thailand for more than a month now. Also, it is had been a month of home-schooling. Personally the flood did not affect me but it affected my family. I did not relocate. What my family did was to move all electronics from the first floor to the second floor including my piano. I don’t know how it affects my extended family. All I know is that my uncle’s house is flooded. The current situation around my house right now is great by in front of the village seems to be flooded. But that is not the problem because my village had provided free ride from my house to the front of the soi. I am sure that I will be able to return to school on Monday to see my teachers and friends. During the month of home-schooling, I tried my best to have personal motivation and self discipline in term of being a continuous online learner and completing my task on time.

      The effects of this flood would be another serious disaster for Thailand. The flood had affected many homes and schools in many provinces. This causes people’s daily life to change. Other than this, the crops and rice had been ruin and it would take a long time to recover and get back into position. As you can see during the flood, the supplies in each store decreases and the demand increases. Since people heard that their house will be flooded, they started buying unnecessary things in their house. That is one cause of supplies shortage. In term of tourist and tourist attraction, many places have been under water.

      As a student and a community member, we can help the flood by donating food, water, and money to the people who are affected by the flood.  If I stop and listen to myself, I wanted to be one the representative who has courage in helping the people and see how complicated their daily life are. I can turn my thoughts into actions by donating those people food and necessary items. In my opinion, I’d like to wish for the people who are affected by flood to be safe and I wish the water would make their way to the sea soon.

Identity Music Video

           In this project, I was asked to create an identity video about myself. In this video, it shows who I am as a person. In this video, I included my family, my friends, my school, my hobbies, and my nationality. By watching this video, you would know that I am a joyful person, a hard worker, and a person who likes music.

When I was making this video, I chose these different categories because it best describes who I am. The first category I chose was family. My family has a big impact of who I am because the closest relationship to me is my family. The second category I chose was school. School is a place where I had fun and it’s like my second home. The next category I chose was my friends. My friends also have a big impact on me after my family. Then I chose nationality which would tell what is my religion and what do I live. The category I chose after nationality was media, which was a category telling me what I like to do with technology. And last of all the category I chose was hobbies. This category would tell you who I am as a person and what I like to do when I have free time.

         During I was working on this project, the thing I found challenging was the part where I have to find different songs and record it on freecorder. It is challenging because the songs need to fit with the images and the length needed to be less than 20 seconds. The part I feel that I am comfortable doing is putting the pictures together to form a video and adding the music to complete the music video. After I finish making my identity video, I felt that I had accomplished something in 8^th grade and it was my first project of the year that I have accomplished.

Birmingham Grid of Learning Test

        On the first week of school, I took the Birmingham Grid of Learning Multiple Intelligence Test. This multiple intelligence test shows your strength as a learner. On the left, you can see my result from the test. I am surprise of what my result was. Each time I did the test, I have different results and I don't know why. In this test, my greatest strength is intrapersonal which means I am self smart. My lowest strength in this test result it interpersonal which means  people smart. In my opinion, I think that this test is a very common test for students to see their strengths as a learner.
